Laya had a very cottony coat as a puppy. I tried keeping her hair long and it would just puff out all over the place. I used everything I could think of to make it lay down. Nope wasn't going to happen! Finally when she was 5 years old I decided to cut her short and do the puppy cut thing. Lo and behold now her coat at almost seven years old has turned much silkier. Now she is silver as all the black coat was cut off. I still keep her in a semi puppy cut which is easier for us. Your babies coat may change too. Good luck. |
