Roxie is cuddely and loving and will sit with me as long as I'm sitting. She likes to be carried around by ME pretty much only but will tollerate it from other family members. She really doesn't like anyone reaching down to scoop her up. If someone sits down she'll jump right up to them to say hi. I think they just get tired of everyone wanting to pick them up. Plus can you imagine how people must look to them? They are so small and to have these monster sized creatures always reaching down to grab them must be scarey. She used to be really bad about it so I started sitting on the floor and just gently coaxing her with treats and the come here command. I just did a little at a time and worked at it for a few days and she started picking it up. She's much better now but I agree with one of the other posters that it is part of their nature. Sometimes they just like things on their own terms. Just try getting on a lower level, be very gentle and patient. I'm glad Roxie doesn't like strangers picking her up, she can run away from people she's not familiar with anytime.
