Wow, I feel so lucky after reading all this. My pup never destroyed anything (though she is a bit of a kleptomaniac, she doesn't eat it, just puts it with all her other stuff in her toy box!)
If Milly was ever a bit hyper though, I'd just make sure her walk was extra long, that she got a good run off-lead, then I'd bring her home and she'd just laze about the rest of the day
