The container is the same size as the bag. I only buy small bags since I can't lift the heavy ones. I also seal it closed tightly. It is "Rubbermaid" if that makes a difference. He gets plenty of excerise with the ball daily as well as walks. Sometimes we walk a 1/2 hour and it has been as long as 3.5 hours.
