Thank you for your response. I get the feeling it is very difficult to adopt a dog from this agency. A co-worker of mine also tried a few months ago to inquire about a German Shepherd and they never got back to her either. I will try my luck with Animal Haven, as per your suggestion. It is really frustrating because I want to do the right thing by adopting an older dog that needs a good home, rather than purchasing a puppy, but these agencies make it very difficult. I realize they must be careful and choosy, and I am willing to submit to their screening process, but they won't even give me a chance.
