She has eatten a total of 1 jar of baby food in 48 hrs. I was only able to get her to drink a few laps of pedialite. I'm so glad we found out what was wrong with her. The doctor said she has to eat a special low fat diet when she gets home. That's fine I will do anything to get her better. I don't want to see her like this any more. She is only 9mo old. She is supposed to be running crazy and playing. Does anyone know what kind of food she should eat? I will ask the vet at the hospital but I was just wondering if I have to buy it from the vet or do they sell it in the store. Right they only eat holistic kibble. I don't know where she may have gotten this. They do not eat table food at all. Maybe her treats...I don't know.

Pancreatitis mainly affects older dogs, but puppies can get it after one high fat treat is given. I've read threads about people going visiting and a relative gave the puppy a human food treat, and the puppy got an attack of pancreatitis. You want to make sure no one is giving your dog any human processed foods. Lunchmeat, hot dogs, and that sort of thing are too high in fat. Also make sure that your dog has no access to the trashcan. What kind of treats were you giving her? There are some brands that are high in fat, and probably wouldn't hurt a larger breed, but it's too much fat for a yorkie. What's the fat content of your kibble? Best of luck, I didn't realize they had a fever with pancreatitis, that really threw me off.
