Depends on what you are talking about. If you mean wolf spiders, fishing spiders or tarantulas, then I wouldn't have a problem, as they are all completely harmless. I quite often handle tarantulas by choice, and by accident. If however you mean true spiders as in recluse, wandering, funnel web, widow etc, then no, that is a totally different scenario
