OMGosh, Jemma needs some very serious trainning, help I'm gonna boot her in the but one day, j/j
Jemma is out of control with people and animals. She is way too hyper. She loves everyone and everything, even stray, wild cats. When we are walking and she see's someone, she goes nuts. Her tail is wagging so hard I swear if she hit it she would break it. If someone comes to her, she won't stop licking them to death, she won't hold still. And naturally it is too overwhelming for many people. Why pet a cute puppy or is going hyper on you? The same with dogs. She loves all of them. My daughter and her friend brought their little dog down. 3 pounds. Not a puupy either. Jemma was so hyper wanting to play, she scared the poor thing and I removed Jemma immediately. We tried the introduction allowing Jemma to smell her rear first and vice versa. I'm trying to find a puppy or day care for her to help more with socialization skills. But I've looked everywhere and can't find them.
BTW, Jemma is never off lead anywhere so she doesn't have the chance to just run to people or jump on dogs. She definitely needs more dogs and people. Please don't suggest a dog park, I don't trust them for fear of Jemma's health. I know Jemma is updated on everything. Doesn't mean other dogs are. And dogs smell other dogs poop, yuk.
I live alone and I can see where Jemma might be very lonely when I'm at work. I just can't change that though. Please don't suggest I rehome her I refuse to rehome her. Could not imagine my life without her. And another dog for company is out of the question. I smoke cigarettes. On my way home from work, rather then stop, I wait till I get home so I can take Jemma out for a ride with me. I try to do everything with her when I get home. I make no big deal with her when I leave for work. I act like it's a normal thing. And I ignore her the first 10 minutes that I'm home.
Please help me so I can help Jemma become a happier puppy. She is 7 months now.
Thank you all
