JMuedog..Yeh they all have different personalities lol. Although most will run and hide as a first form of defence, more Asian species will bite out of fear/defence than American species. Most American species have special hair (urticating) which is very irritating on your skin, and they will flick these with great accuracy at you if they feel threatened. The American species are more level headed and are easy to handle or stroke, and the Asians are a lot faster and generaly more defensive. The Asians also have a far more toxic venom, although a bite from one of these can be very painful for weeks, it still has no lasting effects.
Now ladies, no matter how scared of spiders you are, they are 100 times more scared of you
Oh and another thing..... errr, did you know in your average lifetime you will eat an average of 10 spiders in your sleep
but that is small considering the total insects of all kinds you will eat is about 80
