If you have exchangeable blades do you not use comb attachments with the various blade sizes? And, does anyone use the comb attachments?
Thanks so much for any information and help. |
While I am far from being an expert, I bought a grooming dvd and it showed me some of the different things that I could do with my clippers and blades. From what I have learned, the #10 blade is for general trimming and the #40 is for more detailed and close shaving. The teeth are closer together so you will not nick the dogs ears or "toes". You use the #40 blade when you attach the combs--at least on mine you do. For the combs, the size of the teeth determines the length of the hair left on the dog. So the 1/16 is the shortest cut you can give. The 1" is the longest. I have seen clippers in a package that come with a grooming dvd, you may invest in one of those packages or buy a grooming dvd. Good luck!
