They have her on pain meds to see if that helps, but the problem with those is that it makes the dog sleepy, so we can't tell if shes better or worse.
They didn't x-ray her yet, but the exam should have revealed pain in the back when the ER Doctor manipulated her body.
Reason I am leaning away from the Liver Shunt is the pain she is in. That would be unusual for a Liver Shunt, No? They ran an in depth analysis on the blood including dna for the Lyme's. She is perfectly hydrated, eating fine and shows no signs of pain during what is now her third exam.
If she is not better in a couple of days on the meds, I am going to order the MRI.
