I have not yet gotten my female fixed- but my boy was neutered at 5 months and the hardest part was keeping him calm. My vet used the dissolvable stitches and left them alone completely. The surgery barely phased him- and if yours is a pup I am sure the recovery will be fast! Best wishes and try not to worry, I was so scared for something so easy and he did so well.
