Question Two more puppy issues...

I swear if it's not one thing, it's another.

Problem 1:

Cassie removed her little girl's tail stitches, so the vet glued it the next day. Last night she removed all the glue, and now it's all raw and bleeding bit. The vet said it will heal on its own, but she will have a scar (couldn't care less about that). I have put some Betadine on it.

My plan is to remove the girl from her mom and brother (the lower weight one) and bring her to nurse every two hours, day and night. I will have to do the cleaning, b/c if Cassie does it, she will lick her tail.

Does that sound like a good plan?

Problem 2:

Both babies have a tiny bit of nasal drainage, and have sneezed a few times. The vet said to just watch them. I was at Petsmart and spoke to a girl who works there (knowing very well that they don't always know that much). But, she breeds poodles, and said it sounds like a upper respiratory infection. When I asked how in the world they would have gotten that, she said probably from temp. changes. Stupid heating pad with auto shut off! Also, we do have a ceiling fan in the same room they are in, and she said to turn that off.

I know infections come from germs, but could it be that the runny noses and sneezing could be from the temp. changes?

Thanks so much for your advice!
