Before I bought Joey, I read that one of the Yorkshire terrier's weaknesses were the teeth. So, I have done several things to increase the odds of Joey keeping his teeth. First I use kibble, I believe kibble or raw, to be the best choices for a dog's teeth. Second, I use Petzlife, around 3 times a week, a member here, ARCHIE recommended it, and her dog Buddy has perfect teeth, and that's really unusual in a yorkie. Third, I use a hard chewing stick (Merrick Bully Sticks) that I believe helps keep tartar scraped off the teeth, and forth, I brush Joeys teeth twice a week. The vet said his teeth are in wonderful shape, and Joey's breeder thought I brushed his teeth every night. There are no signs of tartar, and his teeth are white, and his breath is good. Joey's almost three, so I believe what we are doing is working.
