I just bought one for humans while I was doing some grocery shopping at Whole Foods today. So here's to hoping it works the same way! It certainly looks the same though I chose the one made in Germany and their more rectangular shaped one rather than the oval. Maple Wood, I think it says it uses, not sure as they had maple/bamboo products. LOL.
And... it works!

Now I'm going to be testing the different types of wood they use for brushes and see if any one works better than the other! And going to try wood and tortoise toothed combs as well. I just had to run a regular plastic comb through her hair after the brushing to see if it detangled to the roots. Generally, my girl only gets matted where her harness has been for a while. And it's the layer of hair that's lighter in colour--almost white--that seems to be the ones to mat. Mine looks to be a mixed coat.
