Unlove Paisley Parker - 6mo today, diagnosed w/bi lp

Paisley is six months old today, yeah!!!
Sat. I took her in for a checkup, rabies shot, lepto etc. and while I was there I requested they check her knees. I had noticed that if she was struggling to get out of my arms I would sometimes here some popping. She never has limped, nor has she acted like she was in pain, but I was just uneasy about the popping.
Vet diagnosed her with asymptomatic bilateral luxating patella, stage 2.
I have been very anxious about the diagnoses and been doing a lot of research, so called back to speak to the vet today.
She really seems to not be concerned about it at all. When I asked about prognosis, she said that she should do just fine, and not to be concerned as long as she does not show symptoms. Asked about glucosamine, she said that would not help, as it was not the joint that was the issue, but the knee.
She stated that I could give it to her if I wanted, but it would do nothing as far as the lp.
Do you all think I should do as she suggested, and not worry about it until she shows symptoms, or should I get a second opinion?
