There seems to be a lot of this type of thing going on lately
What you can do when you take him out
whenever he barks or gets wild

Stop .... say No Bark and trun around and walk in the opposite direction until he calms down

This takes him away from the stimulus
and the No Bark and the abrupt turnaround prods him out of his train of thought
