I feel guilty coming on here and posting after being away for so long, so I'm really sorry
But yesterday, I took Mika to the vet because she was acting weird and sleeping all the time and drinking a lot of water and not eating, and had some bloody discharge. The vet took x-rays and he couldn't see the infection, but said that he was almost positive that there is a uterine infection and sent out blood to test the white blood cell count. The best way to treat this is surgery, which is really expensive and on top of that she's pretty old and there's basically no way it will happen. He put her on antibiotics for it instead and said that it might help. Can you guys tell me if you think the antibiotics will do anything for her, and how long does a dog generally live with this kind of infection? Thanks for reading this it probably sounds all jumbled because I don't know what to do with myself
