The dogs had papers according to the person who picked them up for me but said the lady did not have then on hand... we never got them and it has been over 2 mos. so we wont ever get them. So they are considered not registered. What is a good price for non AKC Yorkies. but pure breed and they can see the dad and mom on site with appt. I have several weeks to be able to sell them but need more info. Even though i love them all!!! |
You said a mouthful. Let me commend you on your sentence of being strict, meaning interview all potential new families. Set your rules and don't break any of them. Since they are pure bred but, not AKC registerable it does pose a problem. I would factor in your vet bills, their care and your time. About $400.00 to $500.00 a piece. One thing you want to make sure is these babies will be spayed/nuetered, if you have this done before they go to their new homes, factor that in as well as their dental (puppy teet that may have to be pulled). Maybe a contract of sorts is in order. But, as you say you have several weeks to gather all your info together.
There is a great article in the AKC Gazette about interviewing potential new family owners.
