Interestingly, Melatonin is used for fur growth in ferrets and dogs. If you google "alopecia X and melatonin" - you'll see some research in that area....but it's used when the fur loss is related to hormone imbalance. I don't know if it would work for you, but maybe if the poison had affected her hormonally, it may. A Vet Dermatologist would have the best answer for you, but they aren't cheap (been there ).
