Cottage cheese and yogurt are okay to give to dogs, unless it causes diarrhea. If you think this is contributing to his diarrhea, then I wouldn't give it. Otherwise, I would give it - so that he gets enough food. Was he eating okay at the breeder's?
Another easily digestible option (and will give carbs/energy) is to make him some mashed potatoes and mix those in w/ his food. Simple carbs can be helpful for sick dogs. To make it easy, you buy the canned/sliced white potatoes and micro them, then mash. |
Yes, I posted about my vet visit..Bailey was eating fine at the breeders, or so she said. I crush up his kibble to make it easier for him. The vet told me to be careful about introducing to many different foods. Do you think the potato would be a problem? I made chicken and rice and froze a bunch of it. Also I bought some puumpkin to see if it would help his poop, but he doesn't seem to like pumpkin!
