His food is called science diet.
Now we give him about a quarter cup food in the morning....and he eats it by noon. We usually put more food in his plate if he finishes the morning scoop.
then after dinner, we cut up a boiled chicken leg and he eats that. Is he eating so much of his dog food because he's not snacking with us anymore? He never used to eat it. |
Your posts, unfortunately, make me laugh. I also have a little male that LOVES to eat. I worry all the time that he is eating too much. My female is a Liver Shunt baby and never ate and is still so small; I was so happy to have a baby that ate and that I didn't have to worry about...but now, I think I've created a little monster. He had trouble with processed dog food, so I started homecooking and all of his problems went away...but I'm just not sure how much to feed him. I feed almost the same as you - rice with chicken and green beans. I give him a multivitamin and cosequin once a day, but I don't know if I should give him 1/2 a cup or 1 cup or what. His coat is to the floor so he does get much hotter on walks than my female, but I'm not sure that's the only reason. My grown children have nicknamed him ""Fatboy"! I guess I am feeding him closer to 3/4 cup (1/4 in am, 1/2 cup pm) per day. He is 7 3/4 pounds right now. Can you easily feel your babies ribs?
