i would say when all the puppy coat has grown out...
also i noticed that when they are silky coat as puppies they tend to look really greasy even after a bath....my Mei Ling is a true silky coat yorkie and she was always look greasy...even an hour after bath...
now she is fighting leather ears...which isn't life threatening but her hair on her ears are not growing...or should i say was not growing but since researching on the topic i found the rubbing alcohol and 1% lotrimin creme is the fix...i notcied that her hair is growing back.
