Have you thought about putting him in onesies, for infants. I hate those cones and alot of people here suggested using those. I just snapped them around his legs. You do have to be super careful and make sure he doesn't go potty in them, or it will get his stitches wet and be very uncomforatable.
They worked well for my Ralphie, and after a few days he didn't even need them. Good luck, your little baby looks sooo cute in his little cone, I know how awful it is to see them like that
