I totally understand what you're going through. I went to Korea for five weeks. I had to drop my pup off at a friend's house the night before we left because it was so early in the morning. I was crying when I was explaining her routine and everything else.
When I got home, I threw myself on the bed and couldn't stop crying. Even the thought of her made me cry.
What I did was take lots of her pictures with me (so I could see and so I could show everyone else what a darling she is) and I brought one of her toys with me. I know that sounds dumb, but I just stuck it in my purse and whenever I missed her, I would hold it.
I also called to make sure my pup was doing okay. I called a lot.
