Be very careful about such assumptions. If you signed a lease that specifically states that dogs aren't allowed, your landlords do have the right to ask you to get rid of the dog or leave within 3 days. Yorkies can be trained not to bark excessively. It will also largely depend on the genetics / character of your puppy — so pay very good attention to the parents of the puppy you're buying. However, even the most well-behaved pup will still bark...
Also, if you were at all considering adopting a puppy from a rescue, they will want to check your lease for a "pet clause." Even some breeders would want to see such documentation.
