Gee, I want to thank everyone for not booing me off this site! Hey, when you're wrong, you're wrong, plain & simple. I really thought all dogs were mostly alike and that, I have learned in so untrue. Some people don't like a "in your face" dog and so where Rita was raised for 6 years was a much calmer, quiet life, which is probably why she's calm & quiet. I raised my other from puppies and they kinda took on a personality matched to me & our lifestyle, noisy, always something going on etc, so that's how they behave. I have noticed, the longer I have Rita the more I see her as she is, quiet, loving, exceeding mild tempered, and if she feels the need for affection, she lets me know it, otherwise she's perfectly comfortable to just lie around. The lady I got her from stated "Rita likes to lay in her bed and watch the world go by". This is so true, and she looks quite happy doing just that. We are still having potty issues, I had put in a earlier post that she was probably allowed to pee on the tile floor. I don't know this, I just assumed that, because she doesn't use the potty pad at my house. We all know what happens when you assume. I don't suppose I would act the same about everything either, if I was uprooted from everything I'd ever known after six years! I really don't think she knows the difference between carpet and potty pads, they are both cloth, soft, and available. We're working on it though, I wouldn' trade her for the world. I'm sure I've got a few habits Rita isn't crazy about too! Anyhow, thanks to all for your understanding how fear of the unknown can cause someone to manifest things that aren't there.
