Helloooooo....To add to the help you already got here....This is a SIMPLE program ....and no offense to yorkietalk directions - but I typed up my own and tried to simplify it a little.....
RESIZING
This is one of the easiest program on the net to resize your pics....

Depending on the size of your image you just have to click ONE SIZE (USUALLY 50%) or 400 Pixels and it resizes it for you...
SAVE YOUR PICTURES AS JPEG’S or they will not show as thumbnails.
ONCE you resize and want to upload photos into a post ...
In your post, Scroll down and you’ll see Additional Options
Click MANAGE ATTACHMENTS
Click BROWSE to find the picture on your Computer
Click the picture – then click UPLOAD
ON THE AVATAR : It needs to be 75 PIXELS
Go to user CP...(blue bar running across top of site far left)
click EDIT AVATAR
click CUSTOM AVATAR
THEN...look for this: BROWSE
and in the place where it says this:
Upload an Avatar From Your Computer: (it’s the 2nd place…not the url place)
you click on your pic and upload it -
