Yorkies tend to get upset when their normal day is upset. I know when I'm cleaning mine tend to be a bit nervous. Keep an eye on him, you know you dog best and go with your gut feeling.
Invest in thermometer and KY Jelly. There is a sticky I think the Sick and Injured section that lists some basic things to keep on hand for your first aid kit.
