Since I've already shared "my" adoption stories of Abby & Phoebe with you...I thought I'd share a couple stories about two little Yorkie-boys who I fostered before they went to live with their furever homes!
Rocky

was my first rescue and he was an owner surrender. His owner was a long distance truck driver who traveled cross country with his 3 other Yorkies

& 1 Maltese

. Poor Rocky had a history of Bladder Stones (Calcium Oxalate) Surgery and traveling long distances with infrequent potty stops became a recipe for disaster when he had a recurrence. Almost at the same time, the economy took a nose dive along with unemployment which Rocky's owner became a victim of, too. Rather than put his beloved

Rocky down...he reached out to YTNR (yorkierescue.com) and the rest is history. Rocky got his life-saving surgery, was spayed & recuperated in the company of my 3 lil' Yorkie-gals. After about two months of screening prospective families, Rocky decided on a sweet gal who already had another Yorkie-boy to be his brother.
Sammie

came next as an owner abandonment at the Vet hospital where he was being treated for a Pitbull attack. Poor Sammie was only a 7 mth old puppy when he suffered this attack that left him with a fractured scapula and multiple puncture wounds that required drains.

When his owners could no longer afford his rising Vet bills, they failed to pay for his care and never came back for him!

Amazingly enough though, Sammie pulled through like a little champ and ultimately found his furever Momma who dotes on him now like he were her little prince!
It thrills me to no end to just know how a set of tragic circumstances that left these two little Yorkie-boys in need could end so beautifully!
