This is great advice! I also do not know the exact amount of time after the puppy shots. I was super excited to bring Genghis into the public, but he was scared at first so the carrier helped him get over that as he had a safe place to retreat to. He still loves his carrier and we make him walk into his "box" before we take him anywhere.
