Hi, good for you for protecting your baby until he's gotten all his shots. I read about so many people who are so anxious to show off their new babies that they overlook this important step. I can't remember for sure, but I thought I read a week to 10 days after getting the last puppy shot, someone else can tell you the exact figure. I wouldn't be worried about going to people's homes, but still would want to avoid certain places. Using a carrier at places like Petsmart instead of allowing them to walk might be advantageous, if for no other reason than it takes them a long time to learn not to walk directly under someone's feet.
