He was gone for 4 weeks only coming home on the weekends. Needless to say Coco's new routine became the bed beside me. Now I typically have Coco under one arm and the cat ( Jinx) under the other.
Give him time my hubby only liked our cats. One dog we had years ago he liked somewhat. All the other dogs he was ok with just because our daughter and I loved them. Our son is more of a cat person too, but enjoyed the dogs. Well, we got this little rescue and my husband just LOVES her. It took awhile due to her fear of people in general since she was a breeder release we adopted from a no kill rescue. But she and my hubby are bonded! Our son wants to be friends with her but for whatever reason she is terrified of him. She starts growling the min she hears a rumble in the driveway thinking it's his truck in the driveway. It hurts his feelings but I don't know how to change it he so seldom is here.
