She's 45 days pregnant and you need 63 for a full term. I would ask the vet how early she could safely have the puppies as you would not want to leave the dead one in there any longer than necessary. I would get some detailed answers to questions like, "How is the dead pup going to affect my girl and the other pups? Is it going to make her toxic? " Also ask if doing an early C-section is feasible or beneficial. Mostly I am just suggesting to ask a lot of questions because I do not know the answers.

Maybe my bump will get the attention of a breeder with experience involving a dead pup among several healthy ones. I assume he detected movement and heartbeat by ultrasound on all but one.

At 45 days I sure would not want to abort the puppies if I could help it. Wish you the best possible outcome for pups and mom!
