This is so correct. I know many show breeders that have pups that are out of standard. You can breed two champions and still come up was a pup that is full of faults. Just because a dog is full of faults does not necessarily mean it was poorly bred, sometimes the genes just don't click. I have a puppy now with a really bad overbite and I think where the heck did that come from.
All his litter mates have perfect bites and at least 3 generations back that I know of there was no overbites.
