I have been having a lot of issues with a guy and his two dogs who live in my neighborhood. I usually walk Cookie in our neighborhood for some good exercise, but one day I passed this guy's house and his two dogs come RUNNING for us and one of them attacks Cookie. She "eek'd" and screamed and it was horrible. I snatched her up and kicked them away as quickly as possible. Luckily she wasn't injured, but who knows what could have happened had I not snatched her up so quickly. They are both small-medium size dogs, but OBVIOUSLY dog-aggressive. We were just walking the public road in our neighborhood minding our own business. Totally Unacceptable. So, I called animal control. I gave them the address I thought they lived at and told them what happened. They assured me they would go over there and check it out. Well just the other day I was walking her again (now I'm paranoid about these dogs and always ready to pick her up) and I see the owner outside in his yard with the evil dogs. So I immediately walked up to him carrying Cookie and questioned him about the dogs. He confirmed they belonged to him, and I told him that one of them had attacked my dog. He was just like: "oh uh huh yeah I know ok" I proceeded to let him know how pissed off I was and how I wasn't taking this lightly, I shouldn't have to HOLD my dog every time I pass his house for fear of his loose animals. He seemed to not give a darn (I didn't tell him I had already called animal control) but I made myself pretty clear about the situation. Today, I walked Cookie as usual and what do I see? Both dogs loose. Running everywhere, all around the neighborhood. Once again I had to pick her up, hold her, and walk far enough away from them to be safe. Today is the last straw, tomorrow I'm calling animal control (it's too late to call today) and demanding that something be done about this. This is totally ridiculous, I'm not risking Cookie be seriously injured because of this man's irresponsibility. And I should be able to walk my dog in my own neighborhood without fearing for her safety. Has anyone had issues like this before? I kinda feel like animal control doesn't seem on-the-ball with the situation, and the man obviously doesn't care at all. Grrrr its very frustrating!
