 Kiddo has HGE!
My beloved little Kiddo was admitted to the vet hospital this morning with HGE (Hemorraghic Gastroenteritis). He has had just a few symptoms over the past week - slightly loose stool, a little lethargic. Two mornings ago he started throwing up, so I took him to the vet. They said he was healthy and maybe just needed a change in diet. Then early this morning on our walk, he started vomiting - there were little bits of bright red blood. I took him home to call the vet, and he had bloody diarrhea as well. Needless to say, the vet admitted him and immediately hooked him up to an IV. The poor guy was dehydrated. Has anyone had experience with this awful sickness? I am so worried about Kiddo - they say he will need to stay for at least 3 days. |
