I have a puppy mill girl and her ears are down. She can put them up if she wants to, so I think when she was a puppy if anyone was their to take care of her she would have had ears that stood up.
But Max has one of each 1 up and 1 down. People tell me they love it. I don't care I love them up or down. The only thing that bugs me because of their ears laying down people don't know that they are yorkies.
