In my mind, I used to think that Bella was just a bigger Yorkie-girl at 14 lbs. I could never figure out why...if each of my girls got the same amount (1/3 cup) of food twice a day for their meals that somehow Bella was the "only" one in the bunch who's weight has progressively gone up. For snacks, it's usually baby carrots or frozen peas or a P-Nuttier (small) biscuit & not even every day either. have you had her thyroid panel done - the 6 panel through michigan state or dr dodds as hypothyroid runs in this breed as well - only feed 1/2 of what bag says as our vet said most pet food mfg want to sell more food so they up it and why so many dogs are obese - cut back food 25% at a time and add green beans food processed as a filler - carrots are too high in sugar which converts to fat
