Someone today offered us their purebread Yorkie.
She's 5 years old. About 6 lbs. Not spayed.
I just have a question:
If your yorkie (or any dog for that matter) ISN'T fixed, how messy is it? I honestly have never had a pet that wasn't fixed so I dont know what I'd be in store for. We don't intend to breed her. The lady (she's a friend of a friend) offered to have her fixed before we take her, but I just went through spaying Reese.
What do you think I should do?
Another question: Have you ever taken in an older dog but chose not to keep their name? Her name is Daisy and I think it's cute, but was wondering if a dog would pick up on being called something else (I mean, i'm sure they would... as pets who end up adopted from shelters go throught that). Opinions on that?
