NO NO NO Please don't. My first yorkie Mickey was poisoned and killed because we bathed him in flea shampoo. He had the bath and the next day his organs failed. I don't know about flea powder but anything that you can just buy over the counter I would not trust.
I think frontline is safer, a vet has to give you that (or a pet store that had been trained for it). Or, go the natural route and use minksheen or something to that effect.
I tell everyone not to do flea baths. If we hadn't Mickey would have lived much longer.
