You need to give enough DHA and EPA for it to be effective though.
Some veterinary products are available or you can use a human supplement.
Just make sure it's a reputable company that tests for potency and impurities.

Hepatosupport is milk thistle with vitamins. Some prefer it to Marin because it doesn't contain liver or yeast. You can also use a milk thistle supplement meant for humans. I got Ellie's at the vitamin store. It should be given spread throughout the day (broken into at least three doses).

Whenever giving either of these products, it's important to give vitamin e. It is also just a good thing to do for liver compromised dogs. When Ellie was on it she was taking 400IU daily.
