I taught myself..YOU can do it for sure!
You guys will have a lot of fun learning. I have tons of books and supplies..but sadly enough they just sit around! I once made a wedding cake for 500..it was awesome. the bride flew in flowers from Hawaii.
that is kinda where it stopped being fun for me. it was 20 hrs of work
I just did not have a kitchen equipped for that size of cake.

I do smaller cakes now only when asked. I love working with fondant....but have to make my own. Commercial fondants just dont taste good to me.
