For those giving their yorkies vitamin E, milk thistle, and/or omega 3s for liver shunts, where did you get these supplements and what kind of dosage do you give? Lacy is currently on dietary management and SAM-e alone, and we are considering surgery in a few months. In the meantime, I'd like to suggest some of these items to the vets, but I'm not sure if they have these items or know how much to prescribe. Her local vets are very nice and talented, and they care about Lacy, but they just don't know many specifics about this condition. Lacy is three and asymptomatic, but I'd like to give her everything we can to help.
