I have 3 yorkies that are 6mths. old. One of them would eat 24 hrs. a day if I let him. He devours his food also and I know he is getting plenty to eat. He is the only one that has gas problems. I figured it was from him inhaling his food. My other 2 dogs I have to coax to eat.
