I used to have birds. I had some finches and a budgirigar. My budgie died and I believe it was because my Boxer scared her and she had a heart attack
. I am not trying to scare you. My boxer is 80lbs and harmless but she was inquisitive and I guess one day she scared the bird by barking at it. Penny's just a big scary looking dog to such a little bird. I felt so bad. There may have been other reasons for my budgies death. I had the bird for awhile and I had gotten it for free from a breeder because it had a deformed leg. If I ever get another bird I am keeping it in a room the boxer cant get in. My little dogs did just fine with the birds though. They watched them with amusements but never bothered them.
