I just wanted to clarify, Dobermans are NOT aggressive. They are a breed that was bred to be protective, not aggressive.

Aggression is defined as an unprovoked or offensive attack, Protection is defined as a defensive measure. To say Dobermans are not protective is to say that Retrievers dont fetch and Terriers dont dig.

Protection is highly revered in this breed while aggression is severely shunned. To know your dog will lay down his life for you if the situation called for it is a very moving thing.

I think you will find that Dobes are pretty easy going, goofy characters, not the Resident Evil-type animals you see portrayed on TV.

My Dobe works as a therapy dog for children with special needs and LOVES every minute of it and the kids love him even more!!
