I am sure every pet store or broker says their pups all come from good, reputable breeders. Fact is though, that any reputable breeder that cares about their puppies would place them in homes themselves and not have a pet store do it for them. Anyone can walk into a pet store and throw a puppy on a Visa unfortunately. Who has a litter of pups just to send them to a petstore? That just seems so crazy. I have bought a tortoise and budgies from petco before, but I didn't know any Russian Tortoise breeders
at the time, but I do know several bird breeders now. It is so hard to walk past all those sweet furry faces in a petstore and not want to save them
