Hi everyone. Yes, I know this is a yorkie website, but my questions are out of concern for my yorkie.
I am looking in to buying a Doberman Pinscher in the future. This being a large dog with a bad reputation, I have to make sure this dog will be a good match with my yorkie before I get any further into the buying process.
Does anyone own a dobie and a yorkie? If so, how do they get along? What would you say is good and bad about dobies? Are dobies always an aggressive dog, even if you don't welcome aggressiveness in a pet.
My yorkie is typically an easy-going dog except when it comes to her ball and her bone. She will hover over food with dogs, but doesn't seem to get aggressive. I would only get a dobie as a baby to raise, so I would assume it would be trained by my yorkie.
Also, how smart are dobies compared to yorkies? I think of my yorkie as an unbelievably smart dog and I have met my share of "not-so-smart" dogs, so I don't want to get stuck with one or a pet
