It sounds like getting a yorkie puppy is a great move for you two! They really do fill a house with love. I hope Dakota is able to ease your pain and replace it with hope and love.
General advice I have is to puppy proof the house (make sure all things a puppy can chew on that would be harmful to the pup are put away). They're curious little rascals. Also, make sure to research puppy food. Find something that meets your satisfaction. The forum here is really great. If you have any specific questions, you can always do a search or start a new thread and ask away! There are so many friendly members here eager to help.
